This game is inspired by the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington, D.C., also known as the Capitol Riot. It portrays a day marked by horror, violence, injuries, and even deaths.

The game is inspired by the critical hours between the rally speech in which the President urged his supporters to march to the Capitol, and the later video message asking them to go home. During this period, he reportedly watched the events unfold on television, despite urgent requests from family members, staff, and government officials inside the Capitol to intervene and stop the violence.

The project examines how powerful a single person’s words can be - and how unsettling their misuse becomes. It seeks to convey the panic, fear, and confusion experienced during the riot, contrasted with the distant, detached viewpoint of the individual whose statements helped set the events in motion, observing everything from behind a screen.

The story is told from two and a half perspectives: a Washington, D.C., police officer working to evacuate people safely and a government official struggling to escape the Capitol alive and unharmed.

While the game is based on real events and situations, none of the characters—except for Trump - are direct representations of real individuals.
